Niagara Falls consists of three waterfalls, the largest being Horseshoe Falls, a block or rectangular waterfall. On October 24, 1901, a 63-year-old woman named Annie Taylor was the first person to successfully go over Niagara Falls in a barrel, a vertical drop of more than 50 m (160 ft).
