A quiet end to the day in the Chinese city of Suzhou whose canals formed part of China’s Grand Canal, the longest canal or artificial river in the world.
The ancient city of Suzhou is located in the Yangtze River Delta and the Suzhou section of the Canal includes ten city gates and over 20 stone bridges. The total length of the Grand Canal is 1,776 km (1,104 miles).
