The Fastest Serve

The world’s fastest serve measured using ATP-approved equipment is Australian Sam Groth’s serve in 2012 that was clocked at 263.4 km/h (163.7 mph). However, badminton smashes routinely exceed that mark. The fastest smash achieved in competition belongs to Denmark’s Mads Pieler Kolding, who unleashed a shot timed at 426 km/h (264.7 mph).
